Maintenance Electrician

Picture
Seeking an experience maintenance technician to maximize production line uptime by minimizing unscheduled downtime, specialized in electrical maintenance, but also able to perform non-electrical maintenance as required. The position requires technical education and hands on experience to maintain packaging, material handling and other process control equipment.​

  • Troubleshoot equipment to determine cause of breakdown and suggest preventative measures to eliminate repeat failures.
  • Control production downtime by ascertaining needed repairs and parts replacement, and completing repairs in a timely fashion.
  • Strong AC/DC electrical theory and troubleshooting (down to component level)
  • Reading schematics, control systems, troubleshooting AC & DC drives & ladder logic
  • Install power supply wiring , conduit and electrical control panels
  • Troubleshoot load cells, proximity switches, photo eyes, switches, relays, and actuators
  • Ability to read, write, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, blueprints, diagrams, schematics, equipment instructions, and business correspondence.
  • Provides mechanical maintenance information by informing production workers of routine techniques, answering questions and responding to requests.
  • Must know OSHA Regulations on Confined Spaces and Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures.
  • 70% Electrical 30% Mechanical - Minimum Skill Ratio
  • Mechanical maintenance including metalworking, welding & fabrication
  • Advanced motor troubleshooting, proper use of megohmeter
  • Maintenance planning/scheduling
  • PLC programming experience
  • Experience troubleshooting VFD’s
  • Mobile equipment experience (aerial lifts, forklifts)
  • A minimum of five years of solid electrical background experience
  • Able to work off shifts, overtime and/or weekends as needed. (10-20 hours weekly 6 days a week)
  • Dependable self motivated individual with a strong work ethic interested in joining our team
  • Display good character (excellent work attendance; positive attitude; willingness to learn new things and develop)
  • Ability to lift up to 100lbs.
  • High school diploma or GED
